Amazon is gearing up for Prime Day 2023 on July 11-12, but a bunch of early Prime Day deals are already live. This includes the option to sign up for free Kindle Unlimited and Audible Premium memberships--giving you a cheap way to check a few titles off your book list.
If you’re a Prime member, you can sign up for three free months of Audible Premium, which offers thousands of audiobooks, podcasts, and other audio-based content. Considering a single month costs $15, that’s a pretty solid offer.
It’s a similar story for Kindle Unlimited, which is also letting Prime members snag three months for free. Kindle Unlimited offers unlimited access to more than four million titles, including best sellers, classics, and modern hits. There’s also a library of audiobooks and magazines. The service is great if you’re a Kindle owner, but the library can also be accessed from nearly any device with a screen and Kindle app support, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
Kindle Unlimited would typically cost $36 for three months. So, if you make use of both these promotions, you’re saving over $80.
As you’d expect, there are a few caveats to these deals. For one, you’ll need to be a new member. This seems to be pretty flexible, however, as we were able to sign up as former subscribers. If you’re interested in the deal, be sure to check it out--there’s a good chance it’ll work for you.
Keep in mind that once you sign up for either subscription, you will be enrolled in automatic renewals. If you don't want to pay for the service after your three-month trial ends, make sure to cancel it before your renewal date.
You’ll also need to be a Prime member. But since Amazon offers a free 30-day trial for new members, you can simply join Prime for free, then pick up these subscriptions. If you don’t qualify for the free Prime trial, you’ll be spending $15 for a month of Prime--which will allow you to cash in on the three free months of Kindle Unlimited and Audible.
