Arc System Works’ open beta for Guilty Gear Strive on consoles has done reasonably well with many praising the game’s rollback netcode. It hasn’t been without issues, though – server outages on Friday resulted in severe downtime. And since the beta is inaccessible offline, this meant that players couldn’t spend time training or playing Versus either.
The developer thus announced an extension for the open beta via Twitter. It will now end on February 23rd at 6:59 AM PST. However, if you didn’t download the open beta test by February 21st at 6:59 AM PST, it will no longer be available.
The Guilty Gear Strive open beta offers 14 playable fighters along with online play, Training and Versus mode to try out. Arc System Works recently revealed the 15th fighter, I-No, during the recent Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable #2. The full game is slated to release on April 9th for PS4, PS5 and PC so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
Extending the Open Beta Test:
We have decided to extend the Guilty Gear -Strive- Open Beta Test two days for all participants, ending Feb. 23 at 6:59AM PST.*Please note that the Open Beta Test game data can only be downloaded until Feb. 21 at 6:59 AM PST.
