The Fallout video game series is known for bugs, glitches, and other oddities. For some people, it's part of the charm. Many are wondering if Amazon's upcoming TV series might contain a nod to this. Showrunner Graham Wagner said the team considered referencing this, but decided against it.
"I don't want to throw Bethesda under the bus and talk about glitches too much, but we didn't really want to... what I kind of call meta humor... there's no save game, there's no meta elements like that," he said in an interview with IGN. "We talked about it a great deal because one of my fondest memories playing [The Elder Scrolls II:] Daggerfall is a moment where I just bumped into the wall and fell off the map and watched the entire world fly away from me as I fell off. And it was just transcendental and wonderful."
Wagner said the team wondered, "Can we get this in the show?" The showrunner went on to say that Season 1 won't have any of this, but the door is open for Season 2.
