Diablo 4 Huge Season 1 Update Makes Sanctuary's Demons A Little Lazier: Full Patch Notes

Diablo IV's huge Season 1 update is here ahead of Season of the Malignant's launch on July 20, and it brings some major changes to Blizzard's ARPG.

One of the more interesting changes, and one that should make players of the game's melee-focused classes happy, is that demons in Sanctuary have gotten lazier. As Blizzard states in the official patch notes, demons will now move around less in combat, making it so melee characters don't have to chase down their prey.

As Blizzard had previously announced, Altar of Lilith and uncovering the fog from the game's world map are now account-wide, a nice quality-of-life change that should make creating new characters feel a little better. There will be seven new Legendary aspects for players to track down, one for each class and two general ones. There are additionally six new Unique items, including a new "Uber" Unique staff--the Ahavarion Spear of Lycander-- that grants a random Shrine effect for 10-20 seconds after killing an Elite enemy. Its effect can occur once every 30 seconds.
