Black Panther Star Letitia Wright Still Traumatized Over Stunt Gone Wrong During Filming

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is about to be unleashed in theaters, and the cast and crew are hitting the press circuit hard, talking about the process of the film, but one star is opening up about something that happened to her on set that wasn't publicized. Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, talked about a traumatic stunt gone horribly wrong and that she is still processing what happened. The accident occurred on set in while filming in Boston with the Second Unit director.

Wright was shooting a chase sequence that placed her on what's called a biscuit rig, which is a setup that allows the camera to shoot her riding a motorcycle in a real environment. According to producer Nate Moore, the rig got clipped and the bike fell off with Wright still in the rider's seat.

"I'm still processing it," Wright told Variety. "I'm still working through it in therapy. It was really traumatic." She continued to say she had the best medical team helping her and was proud of her coworkers working through another tragedy. "I'm just extremely proud of myself. I'm extremely proud of Ryan, and of the team, for just the resilience, and overcoming adversities every step of the way. When I finished filming, I cried like a little baby."
