Star Wars and Star Trek director JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot studio are working on spin-off TV show set in the universe of The Shining as part of his deal with WarnerMedia, but now it looks like it'll find a new home outside of HBO Max. As for where Overlook will end up, we don't know yet, but Deadline reported that it's expected to "land at a new home soon." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix might buy Overlook.
