New Sifu Trailer Showcases More Gameplay And Arena Fights, Release Shifted To Early 2022

Developer Sloclap’s upcoming kung-fu brawler Sifu received another short trailer during Sony’s latest State of Play event. The trailer showcases a bunch of deadly brawls with the mob, and what looks like a fight club of sorts. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Sifu‘s main hook is that every time the player dies, his age increases but so does the experience. Of course, it only adds up until a certain threshold following which permadeath kicks in and the player has to start all over again. It’s an interesting concept, and the sheer variety of moves and enemies – as seen in the trailer – will certainly make sure players are on their toes.

Sifu releases on PS4, PS5, and PC sometime in early 2022. Sony has also promised an in-depth look at Arkane’s upcoming Deathloop, so stay tuned in the meantime for more details on that front.
