Capcom has announced its results for FY 2020/21, and the company has recorded its highest ever profits for a fiscal year once again, making this its eighth consecutive year of growth in operating profits. The Japanese publisher confirms that net sales saw 16.8% year-on-year growth from the previous fiscal year, operating income was up 51.6%, and ordinary income was up 51.8%.

The biggest new releases for Capcom in the fiscal year were, of course, the Resident Evil 3 remake and Monster Hunter Rise, and sure enough, the company confirms that those two were big drivers for its revenue and profits for the fiscal year. Meanwhile, continued strong sales for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne also contributed to Capcom’s revenue.

At last count, Monster Hunter Rise had shipped over 6 million copies worldwide, while Resident Evil 3 stood at 3.6 million units. Updated sales figures were the two weren’t announced, but Capcom usually updates sales numbers for its games alongside each of its quarterly fiscal reports, so stay tuned for that.
