April 10 was National Siblings Day, and to celebrate the official day of brotherly and sisterly love, Xbox posted a photo of its newest family member Bethesda that was inspired by 2008's cult comedy classic Step Brothers.

Instead of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly striking a family portrait pose though, the iconic jumpers of that duo were donned by Master Chief and Doom Guy, heroes and stars of their respective Halo and Doom video game franchises.
Microsoft has yet to reveal if Master Chief and Doom Guy practice karate in the garage, but it has confirmed that more of these images will be published throughout April.
Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax was announced in 2020, but it wasn't until March of this year that the $7.5 billion deal was finally formalized after it went through various approval processes.
In a roundtable event that further discussed Bethesda's role within Microsoft, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that games will release on any platform that has Xbox Game Pass, effectively cutting PlayStation and other competing consoles out of access to future titles from studios such as Arkane, id Software, MachineGames, and Tango Gameworks.
Twenty back-catalog Bethesda games have already been added to Game Pass, including Skyrim, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and Doom. Microsoft and Bethesda concluded last month's event by saying that they will have major updates to share this summer on upcoming games.
