Lenovo’s Legion Phone Duel 2 Has Double The USB Ports, Batteries, And Cololing Fans

Mobile gaming is big business these days, and Lenovo's next gaming phone plans to enter that market with some even bigger ideas. Officially revealed this week, the Legion Phone Duel 2 features beastly specs inside of a frame that is designed primarily for gaming. A 6.92-inch 2,460 x 1,080 144Hz high-refresh rate OLED screen sits on top of a new Snapdragon 888 processor, up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 storage, which all run off of Lenovo's ZUI 12.5 operating system that is based on Android 11.

The rest of the phone doubles up on the hardware offerings, with two USB-C ports, two batteries, and two cooling fans that work alongside a vapor chamber to keep the processor from overheating. One of the more curious design decisions is that the two rear cameras, a 64-megapixel main lens and a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, sit directly in the middle of the phone body and creates a noticeable bump in the frame that hides the intake and exhaust fans.

A pop-up 44-megapixel selfie camera can be found on the front, in case you're looking for a powerful lens with which to do some live-streaming. As for power, two separate 2,750 mAh batteries keep the phone running and Lenovo says that it can be charged to maximum when both USB-C ports are used. The gaming influences extend further into the phone which uses haptic feedback and ultrasonic sensors on the sides to create shoulder button inputs.
