EA’s College Football Revival May Not Come Out Until 2023 – Rumor

Last year came the surprise announcement that EA intended to revive its college football video game business. The last game to release that featured college ball was NCAA Football 14. Since that point it’s been all NFL with Madden. It’s not entirely clear at this point what form this new revival will actually take, but if new documents are accurate, it could be at least two more years before we see it.

Matt Brown, who publishes Extra Points, a newsletter that follows college football, allegedly got a copy of the video being sent out to FBS schools detailing the plans for the upcoming game. It has several things in there, such as plans for customization and DLC. But the thing that sticks out is that its intended release is July 2023, which puts the game itself over 2 years out.

Of course, as always with these types of leaks and sources, you have to take it with a grain of salt. However, considering how the announcement came out with little information, it’s not too hard to believe that the game is a few years down the road.
