Season of the Chosen went live recently for Bungie’s Destiny 2, which meant a massive new update with numerous quality of life changes. Among these was the Weekly Featured Raid – if players had completed all encounters in the featured raid for that week, they would receive an Ascendant Shard. As it turns out, this was erroneously mentioned in the patch notes.
As per senior community manager dmg04 on Twitter, “Weekly Featured Raids were not intended to be released with Season 13, but this is something the team is targeting for a future season.” More information will be provided once available. Thankfully, Enhancement Cores and Prisms dropping from the secret chests in each raid per week appears to be intended and is currently live for all players.
Destiny 2’s Season of the Chosen recently added Battlegrounds, a new activity featuring battles against the Cabal (yes, again). Two Destiny 1 Strikes, Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and The Devil’s Lair, have been added to the game with a new Strike, Proving Grounds, coming next month. Stay tuned for more details on other activities like the upcoming Guardian Games as they go live.
Re: Weekly Featured Raid
This was an errant patch note, which will be removed.
Weekly Featured Raids were not intended to be released with Season 13, but this is something the team is targeting for a future season.
Once more info is available, we'll let you know.

Checking with the team, it's looking like cores/prisms being added to secret chests was intended for this release, and should be live now!
