Jonas Neubauer, a Tetris player who won the Classic Tetris World Championship seven times, has died following a medical emergency. He was 39 years old.
In a statement on his own Twitter account, the emergency was called "sudden," with those running his account saying they were "overwhelmed with grief" and more information would be provided when they had it.
The official Tetris account offered its own tribute, calling him "one of the greatest classic Tetris players of all time in skill, spirit, and kindness."
