THE WHAT? Beiersdorf has appointed Astrid Hermann as Chief Financial Officer and a member of its Executive Board, effective January 2, 2021.
THE DETAILS Hermann takes over from Dessi Temperley who is leaving the company at the end of her three-year-contract.
She joins Beiersdorf from Colgate-Palmolive, where she has held the role of Vice President of Finance, North America for two years and previously held numerous senior financial positions at the company, which she joined in 2004.
THE WHY? Stefan De Loecker, Chief Executive Officer, explains, “We are pleased that we were able to win Astrid Hermann for Beiersdorf. Her many years of experience in the consumer goods business and her in-depth knowledge of international markets give her a broad perspective of the financial sector,” said. “I would like to personally thank Dessi Temperley for the trustful and intense collaboration over the last two years. Dessi has successfully driven many of the C.A.R.E.+ initiatives with great professionalism and dedication. I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
